Love is in the air! There is no better way to celebrate Valentine's day than spending a night in one of the most unique locations Phoenix has to offer while enjoying a unique Italian 4-course menu crafted by our famous Chef Gabriele Bertaccini. A remarkable exhibition of Old World elegance and nestled between three historic districts, 'Chateau On Central' will be the chosen stage for an exclusive menu composed of genuine and delicious courses starting with a glass of Champagne and an Italian amuse. Following this is an elegant and refined menu that combines tradition and creativeness: Asparagus Milanese with pancetta, parmigiano reggiano and a duck egg; our handmade Tagliolini with Truffle from Alba, walnut pesto and ricotta; a Pancetta Wrapped Beef Fillet with spicy gorgonzola sauce and 30 years old Balsamic Vinegar or a hearty Sicilian Swordfish with Pantelleria capers, roasted artichokes and Gaeta olives. To finish on a sweet note a delicious Chocolate Molten Souffle with cappuccino Zabaione sauce. Inspired by the century-old celebration dating back to the mid-13th century, the menu wants to highlight one of the most colorful and famous festivals Italy has to offer; Carnevale. The masks, the balls, the parades and the Venetian parties are all elements of inspiration for a fun, old-word, six-course dinner that will take you down memory lane right in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a great Italian region and host to one of the most famous cities in the world: Venice. In 1296, Shrove Tuesday, mardi gras, was declared a holiday by the Senate of Venice. During the Serenissima Republic the celebrations lasted six weeks, from the 26th December to Shrove Tuesday when the end of Carnevale announced the beginning of the Lent. During Carnevale everything was permitted and everyone used to wear a mask behind which any social difference was temporarily abolished. Saint Mark Square and all the other squares of the town became vast stages where people used to dance, play, and most of all eat. AN ITALIAN CARNEVALE is a six-course parade of traditional Italian dishes linked to the different origins of ingredients found in north Italy. Think of Baked Ravioli with Radicchio, Ricotta and Parmigiano; Brussels Sprouts with Pecorino and Thyme; Stuffed Zucchini Flowers with tomato oil and anchovy mayonnaise; Ricotta and Chocolate Fritters. Appetizers and six carefully paired Italian wines will elevate your culinary experience to a higher level. As always, due to the intimate nature of these events, details of the location will only be provided for guests who’d like to RSVP and only a few days prior to the event. The menu will, however be revealed only the night of the dinner. Menus and locations are one-night only dining events. Each evening is a once in a lifetime experience. Only 30 seats available per night. The fee for the private tasting event is $105 including complimentary appetizers and paired wines. As always Chef Gabriele Bertaccini and his staff are looking forward to sharing this tribute to the Italian 'Carnevale'. |
